About Us

Supporting small business, arts & non-profits

We are kicking off a new annual Christmas event! “Tinsel and Tidings” is a community-wide event to be held in Cherokee, which supports small business, the arts and non-profits. This event takes existing events like the Wonderful World of Christmas Lighted Parade, Sanford Museum’s Festival of Trees and the Cherokee Area Farmer’s Market and combines them with a weekend of shopping, artisans, contests with great prizes, live music and theater and other terrific events and displays!

New events will include “Let’s Get Lit”, a city-wide lighting contest for residents and businesses, a Living Windows Display on Main St, 2nd Annual Artist’s Open House, a Christmas Cookie Baking Contest, and Breakfast with Santa. Many of these events will also benefit our local arts and non-profit organizations. Additionally there will be live theater and music throughout the weekend and new events are still being added! (Want to host an open house or event? Contact us.)

We are pleased to have great partners supporting our efforts to make Cherokee a holiday destination during the month of December while encouraging our community to shop and give locally this Christmas. We actively support small business, the arts and non-profit organizations in our community and we hope you will too! Event organizers, Andy and Pamela Linn are proud to highlight the group of creative, talented and generous people and businesses who make Cherokee a great place to be. Please join us December 6-9th for this new event in Cherokee!
